Speed Shop Welding

Please Help! Need some car buying advice on a 2000 Accura witha reconditioned title… Thanks!?
I need a good dependable car for commuting 140 miles a day round trip for work. I can’t afford much, but this car was rolled over, and the man whom bought it put a new roof and hood, clip on it. He welded the top in the factory welds, (owns a frame and body shop) and is looks and drives perfect.39,000 miles/5-speed/1.8L engine. They want $6,000, is this a good buy? ( Car looks and drives perfect), all the extras and fresh paint. Reports say it’s very reliable and dependable, (drives great also).
Sorry, it’s a 2000 Accura Integra GS 3 door hatchback, with power sunroof and the rest as above.
nooooooooo. please do not buy that car. First of all, you can find an Integra that hasn’t been in an accident in good condition for about the same price if not less. It’s not going to be a good commute car, i mean if the guy did the work himself, it might be because the insurance company just said its a total loss and he just bought it back and a did a quick fix. Any car fixed like that is not a good thing, plus over turning the car does more damage than just the body. Engines aren’t meant to run upside down you know…i bet you something else somewhere in the car is damaged and the guy just doesn’t know it. (or he does and is hoping you don’t find out till after you paid for it and its yours) The roof plays a major role in the structural integrity of the car, even if you get into an accident that involves a car rear ending you or you rear ending a car, the roof plays a role in it, force is transferred up towards it, you don’t want any problems with that.
ask yourself two more questions too, 1) how in the world did he flip such a small car over? 2) A 2000 with only 39,000 miles? I mean that would be less than 5,000 miles a year, seems kinda fishy. ( Maybe he didn’t drive it much cause HE doesn’t even think its safe to drive often??)
